Rhetorical Analysis Essay
Early in the year we were tasked with picking an object, place, event, etc. to analyze rhetorically. I decided to write about how one flag was able to bring together a nation to exterminate an entire population. My paper attempts to understand the rhetoric used by Nazi Germany to convince its inhabitants to take part in such a horrible event.
Paradigm Shift Essay
Our biggest assignment first semester was to find a notable moment/event in history that can now be looked upon as a shift in the way humans view the world. For my paradigm paper, I discuss how the apple 2 computer revolutionized not only the computer industry, but also the way humans function on a daily basis. This includes basic grocery shopping, e-mailing, and business operations. Be sure to also check out the Ted Talk I gave on this topic.
Issue Brief
The years concluding essay was a paper designed to be written to some form of government, discussing a change, adaption, or discontinuation of a current policy. I decided to write my issue brief on the way we currently invest in the space industry, particularly highlighting the massive money dump into NASA's SLS rocket.
